necessary to have a serving NHS Chief Executive on the Board in order to reflect

Interim Chief Executive
Mr
Stuart Gray,
Chief Executive of the Lothian University Hospitals NHS Trust is to act as the
Board's interim Chief Executive. Mr Gray will take up post with effect from 3rd
November. He has over 30 years experience in the NHS and has been a Chief
Executive for the past 18 years in a variety of Trusts and Health Authorities in
England, Wales and Scotland. He is also one of the founder lay members of the
Specialist Training Authority.
